Would you like to Save Money and be more Comfortable in your home?
If so, you should spend a few minutes on Saturday, May 17, at the Town Hall in Manchester, VT. From 11:00am until 3:00pm, there will be several non-profit agencies, along with local businesses, to explain and demonstrate how to save money, and live more comfortably, by using less energy.
The Manchester Energy Committee is happy to announce that our third annual Energy Fair will take place on Saturday, May 17, at the Town Hall. You will be able to talk with experts from the Heat Squad about home energy audits; learn about Window Dressers’ low cost/highly effective storm window inserts; meet with someone from BROC Community Action about their programs to help pay for needed home improvements; and with staff from Green Mountain Power about rebates for electric cars, water heaters, heat pumps, and much more.
Your questions about cold climate heat pumps, and geothermal heat pumps can be answered. Learn what a Thermal Energy Network is and why it’s an innovative way to capture heat that’s normally wasted. Experts in solar panels, heat pump water heaters, wind energy, induction stove-tops and other energy saving appliances will be available to explain and/or demonstrate the technology. Also, come to learn what is currently able to be recycled, as well as ideas for reducing plastic waste, and ideas for growing food using the principles of regenerative agriculture. *
Thanks to their generosity, a gift certificate for $100 from R.K.Miles will be raffled at the Fair.
Plan to attend the Energy Fair on Saturday, May 17, from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Town Hall. For questions about the Fair, call Carl Bucholt at 802-362-4619
