Cheryl Joy Lipton of Chester, Vermont, and Gene Kraus of Bethel, Vermont, will discuss why continuing to cut our forests to produce electricity, and to heat our buildings, should not be in Vermont’s Energy Plan.

Community members, town decision-makers - Select Board members, Town Managers, Energy, Planning and Conservation Committee members, school board members - will have an opportunity to consider the costs of wood combustion.

Burning wood contributes to the climate crisis, reduces biodiversity, increases flooding & landslides, and threatens ecosystem integrity.

Please join us on Wednesday, September 25, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at the Manchester Community Library.
